Drawing Your Face

얼굴을 마주하는 만남에서 우리는 서로에 대한 책임을 갖습니다. 이 작업은 레비나스의 ‘타인의 얼굴’에 관한 사유를 바탕으로, 나와 다르고 나의 기준으로 환원할 수 없는 타인이 얼굴로 다가오는 순간을 바라봅니다. 타인에 대한 이해와 책임은 자신을 알아가는 과정으로 이어집니다.

The work draws on Emmanuel Levinas’s thinking about the face of the other. In a face-to-face encounter, another person appears as someone different from us, irreducible to our own measure. Responsibility for and understanding of the other become part of coming to know ourselves.
